Hello,
My name is Tejas. Thank you for visiting my website. I'm a software engineer and a big fan of mobile gadgets and very passionate about mobile and mobile systems. I'm working as a full time Android enginner, but I'm interested in anything related to mobile. I'm a Google Glass pioneer explorer and I recently won the Glass Hackathon held in San Francisco Google Glass Foundry event. You can circle me and interact with me on Google Plus and follow me on twitter @advantej More about me: I'm working as an Android engineer with TomFoolery Inc. - a start up based in SF. We are developing mobile app(s) to change the way you work with your team. Previously, I was working with AOL on some cool consumer apps like PLAY for Android, AIM for Android, AolHD for Google TV and much more. Prior to consumer apps, I have explored the enterprise features Android has to offer when I worked for BoxTone Inc. I have couple of interesting posts on Enterprise mobility and Android on my blog. About my Masters' research:
Modern mobile phones come with a ton of capabilities. They have all the personal information about the user and now-a-days posses various sensors due to which the phone can be made aware of user's surroundings and context. Having knowledge of user context would enable developing intelligent applications. Using Semantic Web languages to represent the data, I developed a framework and a prototype that showcases context-awareness in mobile devices. I used the Android platform to develop the prototype for my Thesis project.
A bit of philosophy won't hurt ! Life is full of a variety of beautiful things. Humans are gifted with a unique thing called as 'Creativity'. I believe that if we nurture it, it will do miracles. I'm always interested in participating in creative ventures. Music:
I'm a musician at heart and love playing the Piano, the Indian bamboo flute and a bit of ukulele. On the left you can find a link to my Youtube channel. It contains few videos I have recently added after taking a piano course in my university. If you like those, leave a comment. (Videos now added to music page on this site here.) And for fun, this is a video version of my Resume that I prepared when applying for jobs after my graduation. I did receive some calls just using this resume :) |
